In a significant step towards women’s empowerment, the Amar Ujala Foundation organized its Aparajita initiative at Maa Chandrika Mahila Mahavidhyalaya, focusing on teaching self-defense techniques to girl students. The event featured Priyanshi Arya, a skilled martial artist with a black belt, who shared her expertise with the students.

Priyanshi Arya taught the students various self-defense techniques, from basic punches to advanced attack and defense strategies. She encouraged the girls to stand up for themselves and respond confidently to any threats or harassment. “Don’t be scared; give a fitting reply to those who trouble you,” she urged, highlighting the importance of self-reliance in today’s world.

With the increasing number of incidents against women and girls, the Aparajita initiative aims to equip them with the necessary skills to protect themselves. Priyanshi emphasized that self-defense does not require any equipment or weapons; rather, it requires caution, vigilance, and self-confidence. “Prepare yourself so much that you can defend yourself in any situation,” she advised.

The event was well-received by the students, who felt empowered and inspired to take charge of their safety. “Every work should be done with courage and strong intention,” Priyanshi concluded, leaving a lasting impact on the young minds.

The Aparajita initiative by Amar Ujala Foundation continues to make strides in promoting women’s safety and empowerment, ensuring that girls and women are equipped to face challenges with confidence and strength.
